"Women of the Allies. Fight For Freedom" Vintage WWII British Poster
Presented is a vintage WWII propaganda poster. The poster urges “Women of the Allies.. Fight for Freedom” in bold blue block text. The poster is illustrated with four black and white photographs, of a woman posed to throw a grenade, a nurse examining medical equipment under lamplight, a woman fixing machinery, and three women working on a fighter aircraft. Along the left side of the poster, twelve Allied flags are displayed in a row, including Great Britain, the United States, the Soviet Union, China, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, France, Greece, Yugoslavia, Netherlands, Norway, and Poland.
This was the English version of this poster, printed in England. The same poster design was also produced in Czech, French, and Dutch.
CONDITION:
Good condition overall. Center fold crease lines, both horizontal and vertical. Clean paper with only light toning. The text "Printed in England." printed in blue at bottom right margin. Sold unframed, as-is.
