







Vintage Sterling Silver Belvidere, Illinois Souvenir Spoon with Portrait of Abraham Lincoln
Offered is a sterling silver souvenir spoon for Belvidere, Illinois. The bowl has the word ”Belvidere” engraved in decorative script. The shoulder is stamped with “Illinois” the stem has decorative filigree in the shape of an ear of corn. The handle of the spoon features a portrait of Abraham Lincoln as well as a bald eagle in profile, perched on a rock. In the eagle's beak there is a banner. In the eagle’s talons is a Union shield. This is the design of the Illinois state seal. The back shoulders have sterling hallmarks.
CONDITION:
Good condition. Sterling silver. Front and back spoon design is legible. Some light tarnish. Hallmark stamps on back shoulder.
Dimensions: 1 1/4" H x 5 3/8” W x 3/4” D.
