Vintage Brass Eagle Bookends
This is an appealing set of vintage brass bookends. The bookends each depict a spread-wing bald eagle perched on a branch. The branch is wrapped in decorative vines.
Eagles have long represented the United States and the bald eagle, in particular, has been the national symbol since 1782. As it is shown here, the eagle looks stoic and majestic.
CONDITION:
Overall very good condition. Set includes two bookends. Nice, attractive patina. Small surface scuffs along the bases, from age and past use.
Dimensions: 6 1/4" H x 5 1/2" W x 2 7/8" D each.
