This Vein Turquoise Collection 3" Damascus Steel Lockback Pocket Knife features a striking turquoise handle. The power of water, wind, and time have worked its magic at the Nacozari Mine in Sonora, Mexico, just south of Bisbee, Arizona. These forces have created beautiful Vein Turquoise, which runs like a river sandwiched between canyon walls. The host rock, or boulder, offers a wonderful contrast to the Turquoise Vein that it surrounds.
The knife incorporates a 3" Damascus Steel blade. Damascus Steel is characterized by its strength, edge-holding ability, and its dramatic appearance. The Damascus Steel used in these knives comes from Japan and is called "Sanmai Damascus" or "Sandwich Damascus." There is a core of vg-10 steel with 16 layers of stainless steel on each side, to produce a sharp, rust-free Damascus blade.
Closed length is 3" with a 2 1/4" blade. The knife is single sided with the vein turquoise on one side only.
