Mercury Circled Cufflinks
These hand-cut silver mercury dimes are designed to accentuate the Lady Liberty's silhouette by leaving the rim of the coin circling around her. The Mercury Circled Cufflinks are precisely hand sawn Mercury dimes. Mercury dimes (or Liberty dimes) were minted in the US from 1916-1945. The coin designer, Adolph Weinman, wrote that he considered the winged cap on the lady liberty a symbol of freedom of thought.
Each pair has sterling silver cufflink findings soldered onto the dimes. The backings are strong, hinged findings that will not pull through your cuffs!
