Antique Sainte Odile Medal on Sodalite Double Wrap Bracelet
Presented is an antique Medal of Sainte Odile double-wrap bracelet. The medal is oval in shape and crafted in silver. The front of the medal depicts a portrait of Sainte Odile, inscribed along the rim in raised relief with the text, "Sainte Odile ppn." The reverse is engraved “St. Odile.” Saint Odile (c. 662–720 AD) is the patron saint of Alsace and of good eyesight. Born blind to the Duke of Alsace, she miraculously received her sight during her baptism. The medal has been fashioned into a double-wrap bracelet by vintage jewelry designers, Intellectual Property. It is presented on a double strand of sodalite beads and is closed with a sterling silver toggle.
Searching the braderies and antique shops throughout Europe, the founders of Intellectual Property, Mary and Hallie, specialize in finding unique antique medals and transforming them into one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry. Their designs highlight the legacy and integrity of the original pieces, artfully bringing the past into the present.
