Antique Belgian "The Victory Angel" Bronze Medal on a Freshwater Pearl Necklace

Sale price$525.00

This antique Belgian  "The Victory Angel" Bronze Medal has been fashioned into a necklace by vintage jewelry designers, Intellectual Property. The round bronze medal was designed by Paul Dubois and dates to the end of WWI. The medal’s obverse features a winged angel, representing Victory, standing on top of the world. The reverse of the medal features a laurel wreath surrounding coats of arms and national shields of WWI Allies. Encircling the medal is the text “La Grand Guerre Pour La Civilisation De Groote Oorlog Tot De Beschavinc.” The medal is presented on a strand of freshwater pearls, with a sterling silver toggle.

Their designs highlight the legacy and integrity of the original pieces, artfully bringing the past into the present.
