This antique Belgian bronze perseverance medal has been fashioned into a necklace by vintage jewelry designers, Intellectual Property. The medal’s obverse depicts the back of a man, standing with his arms raised to the sky, as he looks out to water and a shining sun. At the bottom is the text “Volharding.” Translated, the text reads "Perseverance." The reverse of the medal has the text “Algemeene Centrale / Gewest Antwerpen/ Aan/ Ter Gelegenheid/Van Zijn/25 Jarig Lidmaatschap.” Translated, the text reads, “General Central/Antwerp Region/ To/On the Occasion/ of His/ 25th Anniversary Membership.” The medal is presented on a strand of faceted multistone, with a sterling silver toggle.
