Presented is a pair of Alexander Hamilton cufflinks. These square cufflinks feature a handsome head and shoulders portrait of Hamilton, based on John Trumbull’s famous oil painting from 1792.
During the Revolutionary War, Alexander Hamilton (1757–1804) distinguished himself by his intellect and military savvy. He later served in the Continental Congress, where he advocated a strong central government. He is best known for his activities as secretary of the treasury under George Washington and for his crucial role in establishing the first national bank, The Bank of New York.
