Returns or Issues

Returns:

Need to return? We can accept returns for any reason within 30 days of purchase with a valid printed or virtual receipt. Please contact us with proof of your receipt or visit us at one of our stores.

Returns on New Collection (newly produced) and Old Collection (antique, vintage, collectable) items within 30 days of purchase with a valid receipt will be accepted. After this time, Old Collection purchases will only be eligible for the Buy Back Program (see below), and New Collection returns will not be accepted unless due to product defectiveness due to manufacturing issue or similar. The product is to be returned intact and in the same condition as it was purchased, unless due to product malfunction.

Refunds will be processed in full in the form of the original payment method, less any shipping charges. Customers are required to pay return shipping charges unless returns are made directly to our store(s). Customs duties and taxes will not be refunded. Returns of custom orders will be accepted only at The Great Republic’s discretion.

Once an item arrives to a client, either via delivery by shipper, hand delivery by one of our employees, or taken by a client of our retail location(s), it is then the client's responsibility to uphold and maintain the quality of the item after it is in his/her possession. Buy Back Program: 

At The Great Republic, we stand behind the authenticity and value of all of our antiques, in perpetuity. Should your collecting interests change or deviate, we offer to buy back from you any Great Republic antique/vintage item, with the original sale price to be put toward any antique/vintage item in our collection of equal or greater value. Customers may trade in their purchased pieces for the value paid, less shipping charges and any repairs that may need to be made to the frame/case or the piece. Items that have been altered by the client will not be accepted.

Issues with Shipment:

Please inspect your item(s) immediately upon delivery. If there is damage to the purchased item(s) or its frame/case due to a delivery issue, please contact our team within 7 days of receipt of the package. Contact information for our team can be found here. Upon receipt of damaged goods, keep all packaging and labels, as these will be needed to file a report with the shipper and/or art handler. You will be asked to provide documentation in the form of photographs displaying the damage. 

The Great Republic will arrange for the item to be repaired, replaced, or refunded in full less shipping costs. The way in which repairs or replacements are handled is left to the discretion of The Great Republic, but is to be agreed upon by both parties.
