Vintage "Bush For President" Campaign Pennant

Presented is a vintage campaign pennant supporting George H. W. Bush for president. The felt pennant has a white field with a red machine-sewn headband. Printed in blue text, the pennant reads, "BUSH FOR PRESIDENT." 

George H.W. Bush served as the 41st U.S. president from 1989-1993.He announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for President in October of 1987. He faced three main opponents for the party nomination—Senator Robert Dole,  Pat Robertson, and Representative Jack Kemp. Bush clinched the Republican nomination in August of 1988 and selected Dan Quayle, the junior senator from Indiana, as his running mate. 

During his campaign, Bush stressed his service as vice president in the Reagan administration, his government experience, and his commitment to continuity. The Bush-Quayle ticket won the election with 53 percent of the vote and 426 Electoral College votes. He was sworn into office on January 20, 1989. George H.W. CONDITION: 

Very good condition. The felt pennant has a white field with a red machine-sewn headband. Pennant has three pin holes, with some minor soiling in each corner. Some mild discoloration along edges, otherwise no notable damage.
