Antique 1925 Belgian Gymnastics Medal on a Chrysoprase Necklace

This antique Belgian gymnastics medal from 1925 has been fashioned into a necklace by vintage jewelry designer, Intellectual Property. The bronze medal is from Jemeppe-Sur-Sambre, a municipality in Belgium.  It is engraved with the text “1st fete provinciale, 23 Aout 1925,” indicating it was given the first prize at a gymnastics competition on August 23,1925. The medal is presented on an 18 inch strand of rustic, faceted chrysoprase, with a hook clusure.
