Aldrin, Edwin, Warga, Wayne, Return to Earth. New York: Random House, 1973. First Edition. Signed and inscribed by Buzz Aldrin on front endpage. In original cloth boards and unclipped dust jacket. Illustrated.

Presented is a signed first edition printing of Buzz Aldrin's autobiography Return to Earth. The book has been signed and inscribed on the front free endpage, "To Joe, Happy Birthday & Best Wishes, Buzz Aldrin,” in black ink. Written in conjunction with Wayne Warga, this book was published in 1973 by Random House.

Buzz Aldrin’s autobiography serves as a look into the historic first manned lunar landing, as well as his life afterwards. Aldrin was the second man to walk on the moon in the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. His memoir offers a vivid account of that iconic mission, as well as a look into the problems he faced when dealing with fame after returning to Earth. He explains the struggles he faced after his journey home, including a broken marriage, depression, and alcoholism, all while the world celebrated him and the moon landing. This remarkable autobiography gives the public a more personal understanding of the Apollo missions and space exploration, as well as the toll and demanding sacrifice it can take on the people involved.
