Douglas MacArthur Signature Collage

This collage features an authentic signature by General Douglas MacArthur paired with a photo of the impactful soldier and a five star general pin. Standing in his characteristic pose, MacArthur was photographed wearing his own five star general pin on both lapels. All elements are framed together in a custom, archival frame.

For more than 60 years, General Douglas MacArthur served his country as a soldier. He achieved the highest acclaim for his exploits as a grand strategist in WWII, commanding the Southwest Pacific Theater and in Korea, leading the United Nations forces during the first nine months of the conflict. MacArthur held the center stage in one of the bitterest civil versus military controversies in the history of the nation, leading troops to remove the so-called Bonus Army from the capitol. A recipient of Medal of Honor for his efforts in the Philippines, MacArthur also commanded the famous island-hopping campaign in the Pacific. On September 2, 1945, it was General MacArthur who was placed in charge of the formal surrender of Tokyo and oversaw the occupation of Japan for the next six years. General Douglas MacArthur was considered a hero by the American public for his leadership roles in multiple wars and conflicts and was honored with a state funeral after his death in 1964.
