Vintage Swiss Army Bag from WWII

Presented is a vintage Swiss Army bag from World War II. The bag, constructed of calf-skin leather, features a fold over top and buckle enclosure. An adjustible strap attaches to the back of the bag. The roomy interior has one sewn-in side pocket.

This solid calf-skin leather bag was designed for WWII Swiss soldiers to carry spare ammunition and personal supplies. These bags were well made, to endure the demanding circumstances of heavy loads in wartime. They were often used over and over as Swiss citizens served their time and returned their issued military equipment. Through repeated use, these bags acquired a beautiful patina.
