This pair of vintage cast iron bookends depicts Abraham Lincoln. Produced by Verona, each piece has the maker's mark on the reverse. Located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the Verona Steel Castings Company produced ashtrays, doorstops, and other goods including bookends. This nicely weighted pair features a highly detailed bust of Lincoln with his eyes looking partially downward. The surface has a slight texture to catch the light and draw attention to the vintage bookends.
CONDITION:
Overall very good condition. Both bookends have some slight rust near the bust's collar and the felt on the bottom of both are worn. Otherwise, there are no chips or notable scratches on either.
Dimensions: 5 3/4" H x 4 1/2" W x 2" D
