Top fighter pilot Clarence "Bud" Anderson tells the story of a life in aviation, from World War II fighter combat to years of dangerous test-piloting. In thirty years of  service, Anderson flew two combat tours during World War II, tested aircraft at the Wright Field and the Edwards Air Force Base, worked two tours at the Pentagon, commanded three fighter units, and flew ground-support combat missions in Southeast Asia. He was decorated twenty-five times. During World War II, Anderson flew with Chuck Yeager in the famed 357th Squadron, where he became a triple ace by shooting fifteen enemy planes out of the sky.
