This unique propaganda poster urges onlookers to join the war effort and "Join the Army for Home and Country." The poster features bright coloring of red, white, and blue, with a figure dressed in a military uniform at right.
This poster was issued during World War I and was published by the Recruiting Committee of the Mayor's Committee on National Defense. The call to action is featured prominently at left in red and blue lettering, reading "The Call to Duty/Join the Army for Home and Country." The figure at right stands in front of a billowing American flag. The figure is rendered by the artist in a dynamic pose and is based off of an original sculpture by Eduardo Cammilli.
No significant wear, besides very faint creasing. Coloring is bright and paper is healthy. Framed according to conservation standards in a gold and black frame.
