"Texas via Braniff International Airways" Vintage Travel Poster, circa 1950s

Offered is a vintage poster from the 1950s advertising the Braniff International Airlines. The work depicts Texas as one of Braniff International Airways' alluring travel destinations. The poster features a scene depicting oil spilling out, where a Texan catches it in his hat. "Texas via Braniff International Airways" is shown above and below the scene.

Braniff International Airways is an American airline that flew carrier operations between the years of 1928 and 1982. Today, the airline still operates as a retail, branding and licensing company. Braniff flew routes throughout the United States, linking to Central and South America, until later expanding to Asia and Europe in the 1970s. Posters such as this one were designed to encourage tourism and had a major impact on ticket sales.


Overall very good condition. Coloring is vibrant, paper quality is good with some minor creasing. Framed according to the highest conservation standards in a custom archival frame.
