Sheffield Desk Set, Circa 1830-1840

Presented is a silver plated double inkwell desk set. Produced between 1830-1840, the set includes two glass inkwells, each with a decorative lid. They sit on a silver plated tray. In the center of the tray is a box featuring a feather pen motif. The vase finial on the box lid doubles as a thin candlestick holder, decorated in the neoclassical style along the rim.

CONDITION:

This elegant silver plated inkwell set is in very good condition. There is a portion of a wax stick inside the central box. One inkwell was a small chip near the bottom and some missing decoration on the lid. Otherwise, the set has no other notable damage. No makers marks visible.
