Luciano Pavarotti was one of the most famous modern opera singers, credited with reviving the world’s interest in opera. The Italian tenor had showmanship that astounded and captivated his audience. In 1963, his career flew to new heights and entered the international scene at the Royal Opera House in London. From there his fame grew and he performed opera for decades. In his memoirs, Pavarotti takes the reader through both his personal life and career. He details his childhood, theories on singing, and his humanitarian work. Pavarotti’s book provides a wonderful insight into the life of one of the world’s leading tenors who changed the present-day world of opera.

Overall very good condition. This first edition of Pavarotti: My Own Story is signed by Pavarotti on the free end page. The signature is in dark blue ink and is without damage. Another signature from a previous owner is also included in the book with the date “10/6/81.” Internally, the book is clean and bright. The original dust jacket has some chips along the top and bottom edges, but all text is legible.
