New York Yankees Baseball Pennant, Circa 1940s

This pennant flag highlights New York baseball team the New York Yankees. The pennant was produced in the 1940s and features the words "New York" in bold white letters across. On the left hand side, closer to the hoist end, stands a baseball player hitting a ball across the length of the pennant. The ball ends at the fly end with the word "Yankees" written in the trail in white lettering. The entire pennant is made of blue felt with a white hoist end and blue ties. The sports pennant was most likely produced to wave at a Yankees game or hung as a significant piece of Yankees memorabilia.

CONDITION:

The pennant is in overall very good condition for its age. Colors are vibrant and lettering is clear and visible. The pennant flag has been archivally framed according to conservation standards.
