Presented is a first edition copy of Moon Shot, written by Alan Shepard and Deke Slayton. The first American to travel to space, Alan Shepard signed the full title page in black sharpie. The book was published out of Atlanta, Georgia in 1994 and retains its original dust jacket. It is complete with an introduction by astronaut Neil Armstrong.

Moon Shot provides the never-before-told story of the bravery and teamwork that made the journey to the Moon possible. Shepard and Slayton, part of the pioneering space program from the beginning, tell this fascinating inside story. The book references the Cold War's Space Race, in which the United States and the Soviet Union competed to gain dominance in outer space exploration. Their book gives insider information and a personal look at the Apollo mission that made history and some of the brave men who first ventured into space.


Overall very good condition. The book is complete with the original dust jacket with black and white photo and blue author and title information. Alan Shepard has signed this copy on the title page in black sharpie. Apart from some minor shelf wear to the dust jacket, the book has no notable damage.
