Model F-15 Eagle Plane Signed by Chuck Yeager

This is a model F-15 Eagle plane signed by famous pilot Captain Charles E. Yeager. Yeager signed the plane on the wing in black marker. Yeager was the first person to fly faster than the speed of sound, which he did on October 14, 1947 in the experimental Bell X-1 plane. He reached a speed of 700 miles per hour, or Mach 1.06, at an altitude of 43,000 feet.

On the 50th anniversary of his famous flight that broke sound barrier, Yeager piloted the F-15 in a commemorative event. He flew the F-15 through the sound barrier at the exact same time and place of his first flight. This replica F-15 includes details such as the nickname "Glamorous Glennis" on the nose and a "Fiftieth Anniversary of Supersonic" painted badge on the back.

This model F-15 plane is presented on a wooden base, tilted at an angle. The model was signed by Yeager on the wing in black felt pen ink. Signature is dark and clear. Base includes technical data regarding the aircraft and the pilot. Model is in very good condition and measures approximately 9.5" H x 17" W x 11" D.
