The featured items include a Louis Armstrong signed publicity photo, an Ella Fitzgerald signed and inscribed publicity photo, a pamphlet featuring both Fitzgerald and Armstrong from their shared record, and the "Moonlight in Vermont" UK Record, Circa 1956.
Publicity photo of Armstrong posing with six of his Esquire Awards, signed and inscribed in black ink, "To Marilyn, Louis Armstrong.” In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creasing, and surface impressions on the front from the band member signatures on the reverse.
Publicity photo of Fitzgerald in a tender close-up pose, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To 'Buck,' you're one of the swellest fellows I know. Here's wishing you & you & especially you the best, Sincerely, Ella (Tisketty Tasketty) Fitzgerald," playing off of her 1938 hit 'A-Tisket, A-Tasket' in her signature. In very good to fine condition, with scattered light creasing, and two slightly heavier creases to the left of her head.
The orange pamphlet is taken from Ella and Louis’s “Moonlight in Vermont” record, produced in 1956. The pamphlet features a black and white photograph of the two of them. Very good condition, no obvious wear.
The “Moonlight in Vermont” UK record is original from 1956. The record was produced on the label “His Master’s Voice” as part of the Verve series. The record is in good condition for age.
Overall very good condition. Ella Fitzgerald's photograph is unfaded and her inscription and signature are dark and legible. the bottom right corner is slightly creased. Louis Armstrong's photo is slightly creased with one small tear at the left edge. His signature is dark and legible at the top. the record cover is mildly worn along the edges with no other damage. The record is in fine condition. All elements have been framed according to the highest preservation standards and procedures.
