Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer Signed Collage

Sale price$3,950.00

Jack Nicklaus is widely considered to be one of the greatest golfers of all time. He won 117 professional tournaments in his career and his major championship record remains unequalled. Arnold Palmer won 92 tournaments during his playing career, including seven majors. Together, they redefined and revolutionized the game of golf. This collage celebrates their legacy with a Jack Nickaus signed photograph, a photograph of Arnold Palmer, and an Augusta National Golf Club scorecard signed by Arnold Palmer.

At top is an autographed full-length photograph of Jack Nicklaus. Nicklaus is captured concentrating, post swing, during his victory charge at the 1986 Masters. Nicklaus signed the photograph in black ink on the right. The 1986 Masters is considered by many golf fans as one of the best, perhaps the greatest, Masters of all-time. Jack Nicklaus, who was four shots off the lead with four holes left, got an eagle and two birdies in his closing holes to win the Masters for a record sixth time with a stunning 7-under-par score of 65. He beat Greg Norman and Tom Kite by a single shot.

The "Golden Bear" was 46 years old, making him the oldest man ever to win a Masters. He hadn't won a major in six years. He hadn't won a PGA Tour event in two years. Yet on that fateful day in 1986, he pulled a come-from-behind miracle and won. This raised his major total to 18, a number that nobody in the sport has threatened.

At center is an original Augusta National Golf Club Scorecard, signed by Arnold Palmer in black ink. This is coupled below with a reproduction color photograph of Palmer crouched down, looking over a put. One of the most recognizable names in golf, Arnold Palmer left both a professional and social impression on the sport. Palmer won 62 PGA Tours, to include 4 Masters titles. He won his first Masters in 1958, just one stroke ahead of runners-up Doug Ford and Fred Hawkins. His other wins were in 1960, 1962 (which included a three-way playoff), and 1964. He was the first four-time Masters champion. Palmer’s charismatic personality and “go for broke” style captivated the era’s rapidly growing television audience, helping to launch the game's popularity to unprecedented levels.
