Hells Canyon Cowboy Bronze Sculpture by J. Shirley Bothum

This is an original signed bronze sculpture by J. Shirley Bothum. The sculpture is called "Hells Canyon Cowboy" and depicts a cowboy and horse descending a set of rock steps.

J. Shirley Bothum a contemporary bronze artist working in Clarkston, Washington in the Lewis and Clark Valley. He is known for his attention to detail and Remington-esque style. Years spent at breaking horses and rodeoing gave Bothum a profound awareness of the mannerisms of cowboys and animals alike. This experience translates to his lifelike sculptures of the American West.

This is a signed edition, numbered #2 of 24. The bronze was cast on February 3, 1979 by Art Castings of Colorado. The bronze is presented on its original hardwood base.
