Alfred “Al” Worden (1932) is an American astronaut and engineer who was the Command Module Pilot for the Apollo 15 lunar mission in 1971. He was one of only 24 people to have gone to the Moon. While his fellow astronauts were on the surface, he orbited the Moon from 2,235 miles away. Worden was even listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the "Most Isolated Human Being" during his time alone in the command module Endeavor. The book tells his story of the Apollo 15 mission and his experiences in the Endeavor.
The book is presented in its original black and white dust jacket with a photo of the moon on the front. Overall good condition with age appropriate wear. Signature bold in blue ink.
