George Washington Ballpoint Pen

This is the George Washington Ballpoint Pen from Eagle Pen Company. The pen body is composed of sections of the original Georgia Tree chestnut wood planted by George Washington in 1794.

During the last years of his life, George Washington planted 13 horse chestnut saplings in downtown Fredericksburg, Virginia. George Washington named the thirteen trees for the 13 original colonies.  The last remaining tree, the Georgia Tree, was felled in 2004 and preserved.  From that same Georgia Tree, Eagle Pen Company created this honorary ballpoint pen.
