1947 Frank Lloyd Wright Signed Check, Featuring Portrait and Fallingwater Photograph

A personally autographed Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation bank check, dated August 1, 1947 to Anton Alt for $9.35. 

Frank Lloyd Wright was a highly influential American architect (1867-1959) whose mastery of space, form, and human-centered design revolutionized the field of architecture and earned him a place among the greatest thinkers and artists of the 20th century. Wright is best known for nature-harmonious edifices such as Fallingwater and the Guggenheim Museum.

This is a Wright-designed business check for the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundations, filled out in type and signed in ink by Wright himself, payable to Anton Alt.

Black and white photographs accompany the check, including a striking portrait of Wright at left and photograph of the famous Fallingwater house at right in this one-of–a kind presentation.

CONDITION:

Overall good condition. Signature is dark and legible. The check has some tape adhesive residue at top edge. Some later writing on the left side "1464."Otherwise no notable damage. Accompanied by two reproduction photographs and framed according to the highest conservation standards.
