Bugling Elk Fountain Pen

This Bugling Elk fountain pen was designed by miniature artist Lynn Peterson and inspired by the majestic sounds and sights of autumn in the wilderness. Bugling by bull elk in September and October establishes elk dominance in the highly ritualized and age-old breeding system known as the rut. The pen features naturally shed elk antler in the pen body as well as a hand-painted cap. This is a limited edition, one-of-one pen.

Lynn Peterson hand-painted a miniature oil painting on the pen's cap of a lone bull elk bugling on a grassy hillside. Based on her original sketches and color palette, Eagle Pen Company crafted a complimentary pen body of naturally shed elk antler. The entire pen has been sealed with a glassy lacquer, protecting the painting and the elk antler for generations.

Lynn Peterson, a world-renowned and accomplished miniature artist, creates special gouache and oil pen lines for Eagle Pen Company. Each pen is truly unique and requires, on average, 8 to 12 hours to complete. Lynn’s abilities to paint in such detail and to paint directly on the round surface of the pen body are unmatched.
