This antique 1895 Saint Nicholas agricultural medal has been fashioned into a necklace by vintage jewelry designers, Intellectual Property. The 1895 medal depicts Saint Nicholas wielding his mighty staff for the city named in his honor, the Belgian city and municipality of St. Nicolaas. The medal served as an agricultural and farming prize for a competition held June 23-27 in 1895. It was found in Bruges, Belgium. The medal is presented on a 18 inch strand of faceted carnelian, with a hook closure.
