1888 Sterling Silver Love Token on a Aquamarine & Garnet Beaded Necklace

This is an antique sterling silver love token, elaborately and dating to 1888. The coin was found and transformed into a unique necklace by vintage jewelry designers, Intellectual Property. The love token is hand engraved with "1888" on the obverse and "GT" on the reverse, in a flourishing and interlocking script. The token hangs on a strand of faceted ombre aquamarine and garnet beads, with a sterling silver toggle.

Searching the braderies and antique shops throughout Europe, the founders of Intellectual Property, Mary and Hallie, specialize in finding unique antique medals and  transforming them into one-of-a-kind pieces of jewelry. Their designs highlight the legacy and integrity of the original pieces, artfully bringing the past into the present.
