Offered is a vintage 15" Keyston Bros. saddle. The western style saddle features gorgeous brown leather and long leather tassels. The piece was produced by the company Keyston Bros., which has been in business since 1868.
The Keyston Brothers company has grown tremendously over the years. They began from a small, family-owned business that worked primarily in manufacturing and selling whips and lashes on the streets of San Francisco. By 1906, Keyston Bros. moved into the saddle making business and bought out the J.C Johnson Co., Saddlery. The following years, they expanded their business and continued buying local competition to become the most well-known saddle manufacturers on the West Coast. In 1930, Keyston Bros. shifted their company focus and first began producing automotive supplies. Today, they now have fully transformed and expanded their business to include marine and auto vinyl work as well as furniture fabrics and supplies.
Overall good vintage condition. Wear, as expected with use, along seat and stirrups with some scratches to leather across surface. Straps are worn but intact. Genuine leather upholds deep coloring. Sold as-is.
