DC Flag Cufflinks

Presented are rectangular, vintage styled DC flag cufflinks. The flag of the District of Columbia consists of three red stars above two red bars on a white background.

On June 16, 1938, Congress passed Public Law 650 authorizing a flag commission "to procure a design for a distinctive flag for the District of Columbia." A flag contest was announced to secure a design. On October 15, 1938, the design made by Charles A. R. Dunn was selected. Dunn based his flag's design on the coat of arms of George Washington.

These vintage-styled cufflinks are a fun example of the artistry of 20th century flag design. They would make a great gift for those who live in or visit our nation's capital or those interested in American history.

Available in a rectangle format. Cufflink set is silver-plated. Presented in a Great Republic cufflink gift box.
