This silver plated polo tankard was produced in the U.K. circa 1953. It features engraved lettering at front, reading "Calcutta Polo Club, 1953, Low Handicap Subsidiary." The tankard features a wide bottom and slightly smaller opening with a large single handle. The tankard could have been used as a prize to a competition winner or given out to members of the Calcutta Polo Club each year. The reverse side features names associated with the title "The Panthers" and numbers associated with the names; presumably club members.
Age appropriate wear, with surface staining and slight discoloration. Overall, no scratches or dents. Features a clear bottom.
