Mappin & Webb Silver-Plated Trophy, Circa 1897

Presented is a silver-plated trophy from 1897. The ornamental trophy was produced by London-based jewelry and silver company Mappin & Webb. Presented day, Mappin & Webb is a jewelry company headquartered in the United Kingdom, though it traces its origins to a silver workshop founded in 1775. It has held Royal Warrants to British monarchs since 1897.

This trophy is nondescript with a blank oval at center for an inscription. The piece is quite elaborate, with intricate etching on the chalice and detailed ornamental work on the handles.


Good condition, considering age and use. No significant wear is visible.
