"Remember December 7th!" Vintage WWII Poster by Allen Saalburg, 1942

This is an original WWII poster by Allen Saalburg, published in 1942.  The poster features a tattered American flag at half-mast. At top and bottom is red and white text which reads: "…we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain…Remember Dec. 7th!" A moving piece of propaganda, this poster invokes the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor of December 7, 1941.

This is an official Office of War Information poster (No. 14 in the series) published by the US Government Printing Office. The US Government Printing Office publication code (1942-O-491977) is printed at bottom center.


In fine condition, with original color. The poster's paper is healthy, with intersecting folds as issued. The poster measures 28" H x 22" W.

The poster has been archivally and artfully framed in a custom-built black and gold frame. Framed dimensions: 32 1/2" H x 26 3/4" W x 1 1/2"D.
