Presented is a vintage University of Chicago felt pennant, dating to 1920-1930. The pennant is burgundy felt, with yellow block letters that read "CHICAGO". Two pairs of pale yellow ties are attached to the hoist end. A pennant like this would have been waived by students at a sports event or school function. The pennant's maroon color matches thr school's color.

Felt pennant. Burgundy field with pale yellow lettering. Two yellow ties at top and bottom, hoist side. No headband. Several small scattered holes in pennant.
Pennant has been archivally framed, floating on an acid free pale yellow mat, with black top mat, and custom-built black wooden frame.
