Chicago Bears Football Pennant, Circa 1950

Presented is an original Chicago Bears football pennant, circa 1950. This felt pennant clearly portrays the team name Bears in yellow block lettering. A team member is pictured on the left and appears to be pushed aside from a bear that rushes forward with a football. The pennant is dark blue along the body with a gold-colored outline and red stripe along the hoist end.

The Chicago Bears are a member of the National Football League and have played in all of the league's seasons. The team was first named the Decatur Stanleys and was originally conceived by A. E. Stanley in the early 20th century. By 1950, the Bears were one of the best teams in the NFL. This pennant flag could have been used by a fan to show support for the team. Its bright colors and catchy design would have grabbed attention at one of the games.


This pennant is in very good condition considering its age and previous use. It has been framed according to the highest conservation standards in a custom shadowbox frame.
